These projects both integrate the programatic and functional needs of the pre-school into the scale and context of established neighborhoods. For the low-slung Sudbury school, we renovated an existing barn. A new multi-purpose auditorium and gross-motor room shapes outdoor playspace below a mature tree canopy. The larger Bedford school is a new building entirely, and houses a broader range of ages on two floors. The building is shaped to distribute a large floor area over three primary forms well-suited to the neighborhood.
