Positioned on iconic commons in historic town centers, accommodating multiple eccesiastical and community outreach functions, these aging structures strain to fit growing memberships with tight financial constraints, modern accessibility requirements and more. As Architects, as placemakers, and as neighbors, we find the renovation of enlargement of Church buildings among our most inspiring challenges.
We’ve helped two congregations to better fit their buildings around their aspirations; finding space that does more than just enhance services and programming, but generates vital revenue through rentals for wedding receptions and similar functions.
